When Love means otherwise....

This word is frequently used by all and sundry. The oldest book we all run to for meaning defines it as a lot of things. First Love is defined as a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person, 2nd a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend and on and on until this one that caught my attention, i just had to laugh before typing it: a sexual intercourse; copulation. Wikipedia defines it as any of a number of emotions and experiences related to a sense of strong affection. The bible in 2 Corinthians defines it as love is kind, love is patient, love endures, love is to lay down one’s life for another.

The whole genesis of this gist started when I was mentoring some pre-teens, and I was giving an example to one of the boys about telling a fellow boy you love him as a friend oh and would not let him get involve in some wrong stuffs, innocent advise oh and the boy within seconds stopped me and said “Aunty please can you use a different noun/word, that word sounds kinda creepy” I was beyond shocked. Even in the bible, Paul said greet your fellow person with a kiss, not kiss kiss oh, but show agape love to people. That was the kind of love I was referring to and the poor child took it otherwise.

Come to think of it, what truly is love? Is it just a noun and verb, that people use all in the name of sexual intercourse, deceit or just a common word like hello, hi, dude, etc? I’ve asked two friends now what love is, but they couldn’t convince me otherwise, to think they have boyfriends oh, lol, but i ve come see lots of battered women who suffer in the hands of their husbands, guys/ladies that cheat on one another and I’m baffled. Please oh, someone please unsolve this puzzle. Why aint we satisfied with what we have, that we keep going out to look for more? Why are women still constantly staying in a marriage where the husband practices Bash Alli and Mike Tyson on her? Why are we still in a relationship where we are not appreciated? Or why do little kids thinks telling someone you love them is yucky or nasty or creepy, lol....I know black people don’t blush, but you need to see these kids when i tell them i love them, the girls will blush and the guys would hide their faces and tell you to stop it. I just love them, they are soooooo cute.

Anyhoos, so what’s you take on this? We are currently working on our new logo, the old one we started with is too plain and common, so we're working on something unique, will put the pictures up when we are through for a final pick.
Xoxo.....
